20 units of illegally mined sand near Ambur seized
Revenue officials seized over 20 units of illegally mined sand from the dry Malattaru River in Machampattu village on Wednesday. The operation followed a tip-off from farmer and activist J. Paranthaman. The revenue generated from the public auction of the seized sand will contribute to the State exchequer, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat illegal mining.
