3 years after Oct 7, Israel honours officer whose Hamas attack warning was ignored
Israel honored an intelligence officer from Unit 8200 for issuing multiple warnings about a Hamas invasion before the October 7, 2023 attack. The ignored alerts contributed to a coordinated assault from Gaza, causing heavy casualties and hostages. This recognition highlights ongoing scrutiny of systemic failures within Israel's military intelligence operations.
