In June 2026, sales of SUVs in the 4.5m to 4.8m segment reached 37,763 units, reflecting a 29.29% year-on-year increase despite a 4.87% month-on-month decline. Mahindra dominated the market with a 77% share, led by the Scorpio, which sold 14,097 units, and the XUV7XO, which recorded 9,244 units. The Tata Harrier saw significant growth, doubling its sales to 2,962 units, while Hyundai Alcazar faced a steep decline due to production issues.
