Seven workers died and two remain trapped after water and debris surged into a hydropower project tunnel in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, at 6:30 PM. District magistrate Gaurav Kumar reported the incident, which occurred during construction. Rescue operations are underway to locate the trapped workers and recover the deceased.
