The 8th Pay Commission concluded meetings in Bengaluru, where the Karnataka pensioners’ body proposed a minimum pay of ₹69,000 and a minimum pension of ₹34,470. This recommendation, based on a fitment factor of 3.833, aims to restructure pay scales from 18 levels to seven. The Commission is expected to consider these proposals in its upcoming deliberations.
