About 1,500 pilgrims stranded along Kedarnath trek route evacuated after landslide
Rescue teams evacuated approximately 1,500 pilgrims stranded along the Kedarnath trek route after a landslide on Sunday night. The State Disaster Response Force, National Disaster Response Force, and District Disaster Response Force worked together to clear debris and escort the pilgrims to safety at Gaurikund. The Char Dham Yatra remains suspended due to ongoing heavy rain.
