About 25,000 property registrations at Gurugram tehsil office have one fictitious PAN
An income-tax survey in Gurugram revealed that a fictitious PAN, ‘ABCDEF1234’, was used for nearly 25,000 property registrations over two years. The investigation uncovered an estimated ₹55,000 crore in unreported transactions, indicating a significant scam. The I-T department aims to ensure accurate reporting of high-value property transactions moving forward.
