After Moody's, now S&P and Fitch raise their India growth forecasts
S&P and Fitch raised India's FY27 growth forecasts to 7% and 6.9%, respectively, following Moody's upgrade. Despite this, they expect growth to moderate in the second half of the fiscal year due to inflationary pressures and weather-related risks. The Reserve Bank of India may raise interest rates by 25 basis points to 5.5% as a response.
