After Q1 GDP surprise, economists raise FY27 growth forecasts beyond 7%
Economists revised their GDP growth forecasts for FY27 to 7.2% following a surprising 7.8% growth in Q1 2026-27. The Reserve Bank of India’s previous estimate of 6.7% now appears conservative, with predictions ranging from 6.9% to 7.5%. The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee will meet from October 5-7 to discuss potential adjustments to its growth outlook.
