Apologise in 3 days or face action: Parliament panel to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg
The Parliamentary Standing Committee demanded that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologize within three days for Facebook's removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech. The committee warned that failure to comply could lead to the withdrawal of the company's safe-harbour immunity under the Information Technology Act. A response is expected by August 8, 2026.
