Australia is keeping AI-generated music off its charts. What about India?
Australia will exclude wholly AI-generated music from its official charts starting August 31, allowing only AI-assisted recordings. This decision prompts India's music industry to consider whether to differentiate between human-made and AI-generated music in its charts. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry is also developing global principles for AI music eligibility in charts.
