Australia to make tech companies pay more outlets for content under reworked media law

The government will allocate 5% of funds raised under the scheme to the Australian Associated Press, supporting public-interest journalism. This legislation aims to ensure that advertising revenue is more equitably distributed among domestic media organizations, enhancing support for smaller outlets.
