Bengaluru builder to raze shaky tower three months after getting occupancy certificate

The SNN Raj Corp plans to demolish an 18-floor apartment tower in Bengaluru just three months after receiving an occupancy certificate, due to structural flaws that caused the building to tilt. The decision affects 49 buyers who were ready to move in, as the developer cited errors in the original geotechnical investigation as the cause of the instability. The company has applied to revoke the occupancy certificate and aims to reconstruct the tower within two years, with the rebuilding process expected to take 18 months.
