Bengaluru’s BMTC drivers, traffic police, pourakarmikas, construction workers show reduced lung function: Survey
A three-year study revealed that Bengaluru’s BMTC drivers, traffic police, pourakarmikas, and construction workers exhibit reduced lung function. Notably, 45% of pourakarmikas showed indications of diminished lung capacity, identified by the PRISm pattern. The findings highlight significant health concerns for these occupational groups, prompting calls for improved air quality measures in the city.
