Bhupesh Baghel: ‘Punjab Congress has no rebellion, there is a spirit of competition’
Bhupesh Baghel, the All India Congress Committee's general secretary in charge of Punjab, stated that there is no rebellion within the Punjab Congress, emphasizing a spirit of competition instead. He addressed the recent tensions following the decision to retain Amarinder Singh Raja Warring as state party chief, which has caused discontent among some party members, including ex-CM Charanjit Singh Channi. Baghel confirmed that he has not been approached regarding any demands for leadership change, asserting that decisions made by the party high command are final.
