BJP appoints State in-charges; Smriti Irani gets Haryana, Chhattisgarh; Ram Madhav T.N., Uttarakhand
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed state in-charges for all 28 states and eight Union territories, with Smriti Irani overseeing Haryana and Chhattisgarh. Ram Madhav received Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. This reshuffle also elevated Anil Baluni as coordinator of the communication department, which includes the national media cell and social media unit.
