Bombay HC quashes PMLA case against D B Realty, its managing director
The Bombay High Court quashed a 2016 money laundering case against D B Realty Ltd and its managing director Vinodkumar Goenka, linked to former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal. Justice Ashwin Bhobe ruled that the transactions involved did not constitute proceeds of crime, as established by a previous discharge of another accused, Parvesh Construction Pvt Ltd. The Enforcement Directorate did not challenge this ruling, although an activist has appealed the discharge of Bhujbal, which remains pending.
