CBI files sixteenth chargesheet against Noida builder, bank officials
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed its 16th chargesheet against Noida-based Saha Infratech Pvt. Ltd. and officials from HDFC Bank Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. for allegedly defrauding homebuyers. The chargesheet, submitted to a Special Judge in New Delhi, cites criminal conspiracy and cheating under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act. The CBI is also investigating 33 additional cases involving various builders and financial institutions linked to similar fraudulent activities.
