Centre extends AIF scheme to boost farm infrastructure investments
The Indian government extended the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme until March 31, 2027, to enhance investments in farm infrastructure. This extension aims to address the annual loss of ₹1.53 trillion in agricultural produce due to inefficiencies. As of October 25, ₹1.03 trillion has been sanctioned for 228,428 projects, supporting farmers in better storage and processing.
