Centre extends PM-Kisan for four more years, allocates ₹3.15 lakh crore
The Union Cabinet approved the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme for four more years, allocating ₹3.15 lakh crore for the period from 2026-27 to 2030-31. Since its launch in February 2019, the government has transferred over ₹4.47 lakh crore directly to farmers' bank accounts through 23 instalments. This extension aims to continue supporting farmers amid ongoing agricultural challenges.
