Chandigarh housing board flats can now have lifts, on government land too
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has approved the installation of lifts in its flats, allowing the use of adjacent government land when necessary. This decision aims to enhance accessibility for residents, particularly seniors and those with disabilities. Applications for lift installation must be submitted through a registered architect, with decisions communicated within 30 days.
