Chennai civic body collects ₹103 crore property tax in 14 days
The Greater Chennai Corporation collected ₹103.03 crore in property tax dues over 14 days, attributed to a special collection drive from July 3 to 16. This marks a 145% increase in collection efficiency compared to the same period last year, with 7,10,285 out of 14,23,653 property owners settling their dues. The drive will continue until July 31, as officials encourage remaining property owners to pay to avoid penalties.
