Child protection panel to probe Meta over sexual content: Report
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) launched an inquiry into Meta Platforms, Inc. over alleged child sexual abuse material advertisements following a media report. The inquiry follows Meta's response to a notice issued by the NCPCR, which sought explanations regarding the handling of child sexual abuse material on its platforms. Meta's global team is scheduled to meet with Indian officials on August 5 and 6 to discuss these issues, amid calls for CEO Mark Zuckerberg to apologize personally.
