China considers new export curbs on solar, AI, biotech
China announced a draft plan to restrict exports of over 40 advanced technologies, including solar manufacturing, AI models, and biotech platforms. The Ministry of Commerce proposed a complete ban on 14 technologies, notably certain solar-cell manufacturing methods and AI technologies that could generate malicious code. These measures aim to mitigate risks and safeguard international technological cooperation, impacting countries like India.
