Chinese EV maker Xpeng to recall 33,473 X9 vehicles
Xpeng is recalling 33,473 X9 electric vehicles manufactured between August 8, 2023, and August 11, 2025, due to safety hazards identified by China's market regulator. The recall addresses potential reduced airtightness of the front air springs, which may lead to air leaks and affect vehicle handling in hot and humid conditions. This action follows an inspection by China's industry ministry to evaluate the safety and production consistency of Xpeng and its partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group's GAC Aion unit.
