CJP protest: Sonam Wangchuk opens a window for talks as Government steps up efforts to resolve crisis
Activist Sonam Wangchuk announced he would end his hunger strike and encourage students to pause protests if the government fulfills its assurances regarding compensation for families of students who died after an exam paper leak. Wangchuk received assurances from Union Ministers J P Nadda and Jitendra Singh during a hospital visit, including a commitment to discuss accountability in Parliament. The Cockroach Janta Party, however, vowed to continue protests until their demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, are met.
