Coal India production up 9.2% in September
Coal India reported a 9.2% increase in coal production to 53.5 million tonnes in September, with supplies rising 12.5% to 61.2 million tonnes. Supplies to the power sector, its largest consumer, grew by 10.6% to 48.9 million tonnes. The company anticipates further production increases as monsoon conditions improve.
