Core upgrade: on the Index of Core Industries
The Index of Core Industries (ICI) has been updated to align with other key economic metrics, enhancing its representation of India's economy. This update follows the earlier revisions of national accounts, Consumer Price Index, Wholesale Price Index, and Index of Industrial Production, which had also faced delays. The new ICI data for June is now available, reflecting a more accurate economic landscape.
