Definium says LSD-based pill reduces anxiety in late-stage study

Definium Therapeutics announced that its LSD-based pill, DT120, significantly reduced anxiety symptoms in a late-stage trial involving 214 patients with generalized anxiety disorder. Participants receiving a single 100-microgram dose experienced an 11.6-point drop in anxiety ratings, compared to a 6.2-point drop for those on a placebo, marking a statistically significant difference. The positive results, which emerged within two days and persisted throughout the 12-week study, have led to a more than 20% increase in the company's shares premarket.
