Delhi civic body ramps up construction & demolition waste collection measures with 125 centres
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) activated all 125 secondary construction and demolition waste collection centres to combat illegal dumping ahead of winter. As of October 1, 118 centres feature signage and dust control measures, while 88 are registered with the Delhi Pollution Control Committee. The MCD's free waste collection service now allows up to 20 metric tonnes per deposit, enhancing waste management efforts.
