Delhi Master Plan 2047: 40 lakh homes planned, focus on affordable housing and vertical growth
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal announced the Delhi Master Plan 2047, which aims to build 30-40 lakh homes to accommodate a projected population of 3.2 crore by 2047. The plan emphasizes affordable housing and urban development strategies to manage the city's fixed land area of 1,483 square kilometers. Implementation will begin immediately to address the housing demand.
