Delhi weather today: Rains expected in the evening; IMD issues alert for heavy downpour on July 21-22
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Delhi, anticipating widespread rain and thunderstorms starting July 21. Scattered showers have already begun, with heavy downpours expected this evening due to a low-pressure system over West Bengal pulling moisture from both the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Gusty winds of 20-30 kmph, peaking at 40 kmph, are also forecasted, signaling a significant shift in the monsoon trough's position over the northern plains.
