Delimitation may be less attractive for BJP now
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faces challenges in its traditional strategy of caste and religious consolidation, as evidenced by its recent defeat in Bankipur against Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor. This loss indicates that the party's assumptions about voter alignment based on caste may no longer be reliable. As a result, the attractiveness of delimitation as a political strategy for the BJP may be diminishing.
