Dharwad consumer panel orders builder to refund 83 plot buyers with 10% interest
The Dharwad District Consumer Grievances Redressal Commission ordered real estate developer Kaushalya Kamtar to refund ₹5 lakh each to 83 plot buyers, plus 10% interest, for failing to develop promised residential plots. The commission found Kamtar guilty of unfair trade practices after the buyers, mostly low-income earners, received no plots despite payments made over two to three years. Kamtar must complete the refunds and pay compensation within one month, as mandated by the ruling.
