DMK, AIADMK stake claim to Chennai metro stretch after PM Modi-CM Vijay’s flag-off
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay inaugurated the Poonamallee-Vadapalani stretch of Chennai Metro Phase-2. The DMK claimed credit for the project, stating it was developed during their tenure, while AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami asserted that the project began under his leadership, highlighting state funding and central approval. The metro stretch is now operational.
