‘Don’t play politics’: SC says SIT can oversee Ram Temple donation probe
The Supreme Court of India allowed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to oversee the probe into alleged financial irregularities concerning donations to the Ram Temple. The court emphasized the need for a fair and impartial investigation, with the Uttar Pradesh government instructed to reconstitute the SIT and report back by July 27. Eight individuals have been arrested, and the SIT's preliminary inquiry has been completed, but the ongoing investigation is currently managed by local police.
