EPFO raises wage ceiling to Rs 25k, coverage up by Rs 1 crore
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) raised the monthly wage ceiling for mandatory contributions from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. This change will extend coverage to approximately 1 crore additional workers and increase pension payouts for existing Employees' Pension Scheme subscribers. The new ceiling marks the first revision since September 2014, effective immediately.
