Every Delhi home may face fire safety audit: Centre seeks blueprint
The Ministry of Home Affairs directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to create a blueprint for a fire safety audit of all homes in the city. This initiative follows major fire incidents in Palam, Malviya Nagar, and Vivek Vihar, which raised concerns about fire preparedness. The MCD must submit its report by the end of October, outlining time, funds, and manpower needed.
