Fan clubs can use celebrities’ public photos unless they cause legal harm, Delhi HC told in Janhvi Kapoor case
The Delhi High Court heard arguments on October 8 regarding the use of public photos by fan clubs in the Janhvi Kapoor personality rights case. Amicus curiae Gautam Bhatia stated that such use is permissible unless it defames, invades privacy, or falsely suggests endorsement. Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani will continue questioning on October 9, seeking clarity on legal boundaries for fan pages.
