Flash floods toll may climb as high as 10,000, says Nepalese Finance Minister
Nepal's Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stated that the death toll from August's flash floods may reach 10,000, matching the 2015 earthquake's toll. Currently, 1,411 are confirmed dead, with 5,875 missing. Wagle, visiting India for talks, praised India's relief efforts and announced a planned visit by Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah by year-end.
