France name Zidane as new coach | Long-awaited homecoming for Zizou
Zinedine Zidane has been appointed as the new head coach of the French national football team, succeeding Didier Deschamps, who stepped down after 14 years in charge. Zidane, a key figure in France's 1998 World Cup victory, had long been considered the leading candidate for the role. His first matches will include away games against Turkey and a home game against Italy, marking a significant moment in his coaching career.
