Front-of-pack nutrition labelling to be rolled out in single phase, FSSAI tells Supreme Court
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) informed the Supreme Court that it will implement front-of-pack nutrition labelling in a single phase. The FSSAI requested four months to finalize the draft regulations under the Food Safety and Standards Act. This decision follows the court's criticism of the FSSAI for delaying warning labels on packaged foods.
