Ghaziabad: RWAs yet to file power audit reports, 307 societies get notices
The Ghaziabad power department issued notices to 307 housing societies for failing to submit mandatory annual electricity audit reports, with only 53 societies complying so far. The deadline for submission has been extended to July 31, and non-compliance will incur penalties starting at ₹5,000. Continued failure to submit the reports could lead to disconnection of electricity services, as the audits are crucial for preventing overcharging residents by Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Apartment Owners Associations (AOAs).
