Govt launches initiative to build digital public infra for tourism sector
The Centre launched a project to create a national digital public infrastructure for tourism, enabling access to 23,000 experiences and homestays by 2028. The Ministry of Tourism and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) aim to enhance discoverability and trustworthiness of offerings through a unified platform. The initiative was announced by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Shekhawat on World Tourism Day.
