Gujarat: Draft rules bar PG facilities in new apartment blocks
The Gujarat state government has proposed new rules that will bar Paying Guest (PG) facilities in new apartment blocks and commercial complexes. This amendment to the Comprehensive General Development Control Regulations (CGDCR) aims to clarify regulations for PG accommodations and preschools, which have been absent from the state's urban planning framework since 2017. Citizens can submit objections and suggestions regarding the proposed changes until October 3, 2026.
