Half a dozen small hybrids getting ready for Indian launch
Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, and Renault plan to launch about six small hybrid vehicles in India over the next 18-24 months. These models aim to meet new fuel-efficiency regulations and benefit from lower taxes on compact cars. The first vehicle is expected to debut next year, enhancing hybrid technology's market presence in India.
