HDFC Bank Dy MD Kaizad Bharucha quits; was in race for MD post
Kaizad Bharucha, Deputy Managing Director of HDFC Bank, resigned effective December 31, 2026, after over 30 years with the bank. He was a candidate for the managing director and CEO position, but Anup Bagchi was recommended by the Reserve Bank of India. The board accepted Bharucha's resignation during meetings on October 16 and 17, which will now be sent to the RBI for approval.
