Hospitals body backs NMC move on remote authentication of medical records
The National Medical Commission (NMC) enabled Registered Medical Practitioners to remotely authenticate electronic medical records, a move welcomed by the private hospitals body Nathealth. This decision aims to enhance digital health access, particularly in remote areas. The NMC's advisory, issued on October 13, allows doctors to use digital signatures for various clinical documents, improving healthcare delivery.
