‘I am a termite’: In Goa, BJP leader’s remark stirs a new protest
Goa BJP vice-president Narendra Sawaikar's remark comparing protesters to 'termites' sparked a protest at Azad Maidan in Panaji, where students and activists expressed their frustration over government accountability. The comment followed a candlelight vigil supporting the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) protest in Delhi, highlighting ongoing discontent among youth regarding issues like NEET cancellations. Protesters, including recent graduates, demanded recognition of their grievances rather than insults from leaders.
