IIT BHU scientists develop novel green light-activated technology to fight bacterial infections
Scientists at the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi (BHU) developed a green light-activated antibacterial technology, published in Communications Chemistry. This innovative approach targets antimicrobial resistance and infected wounds by using specially designed compounds that inhibit bacterial growth and biofilm formation. The research, led by Dr. Samya Banerjee and Dr. Sudip Mukherjee, showcases IIT (BHU)'s commitment to addressing healthcare challenges.
